Ingredients:
• 1 lb ground beef or turkey
• 1 onion, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 bell pepper, diced
• 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
• 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
• 1 cup frozen corn kernels
• 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
• 1 cup Lorraine's BBQ Sauce Southwest Chipotle Kick flavor
• 1 tablespoon chili powder
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro
Instructions:
• In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess fat if necessary.
• Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper to the pot. Cook for 5-7 minutes, until the vegetables are softened.
• Stir in the diced tomatoes (with their juices), black beans, kidney beans, frozen corn kernels, beef or vegetable broth, Lorraine's BBQ Sauce Southwest Chipotle Kick flavor, chili powder, and ground cumin.
• Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
• Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Let it simmer uncovered for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the flavors meld and the chili thickens to your desired consistency.
• Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
• Serve the Southwest Chipotle Kick Chili hot, garnished with your favorite toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced green onions, or chopped cilantro.
